ZUMBA is the new and exciting fitness class sweeping across the country! It combines a high-energy cardiovascular workout with pulsating Latin music into a fun, calorie burning experience. It incorporates many dance styles including merengue, salsa, chacha, mambo, cumbia, reggaeton, belly dancing, flamenco and more. The best part about Zumba though is that no experience is necessary to join in the fun. anyone can do it! People of all ages, fitness levels, and dancing abilities can have a blast while getting a good workout at their own level.
Zumba is a dance fitness program created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto "Beto" Perez during the 1990s. Zumba is a trademark owned by Zumba Fitness, LLC.

Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo. Squats and lunges are also included. Zumba Fitness, the owner of the Zumba program, does not charge licensing fees to gyms or fitness centers. Approximately 15 million people take weekly Zumba classes in over 200,000 locations across 180 countries.

Don't trust what I am going to say: I am biased

I decided to try Zumba, and I went to a class, but I didn't find it fitted for me. I discussed and discovered that another teacher was having another Zumba class, and I felt like trying.

It was a discovery to find such an energetic woman, who leads us doing a little bit more that we thought possible for our body. And Salsa, Meringue, Cumbia. Many times she tries to add a new danse to the repertoire. Besides the joy and the enthusiasm, she explains the dance movements and the benefit for our muscles
